DROVIIA / Shop with awareness

Counterfeit
products.

Knowing what to check can help you avoid fake shoes, copied websites, and sellers pretending to represent the brands you love.

Look closer. Shop confidently. Ask questions.

Why this matters

A familiar logo is only the beginning.

Counterfeit sellers can copy product photos, logos, packaging, and entire website layouts. They may advertise through social media or list shoes on marketplaces at unusually low prices. A polished page or recognizable brand name in a URL does not establish that the seller or product is genuine. Use several checks together before you buy.

Before you place an order

Six details
worth checking.

One sign alone may not settle the question. Several warning signs together deserve a closer look.

01

Read the full URL.

Look for extra words, unusual spellings, or characters that imitate a brand’s official domain. A brand name appearing somewhere in the address is not proof.

02

Question extreme discounts.

Compare the price with other established sellers. A remarkably low price for a sought-after model can be a warning sign.

03

Check who is selling.

On a marketplace, review the individual seller, not just the marketplace name. Check contact information, seller history, and independent feedback.

04

Review the store details.

Read its contact page, shipping terms, and return policy. Missing information or inconsistent business details deserve caution.

05

Watch the payment request.

Be cautious if a seller insists on a wire transfer, gift card, cryptocurrency, or payment outside a marketplace’s checkout.

06

Keep your purchase records.

Save the listing, order confirmation, receipt, and messages. These details help if you later need to contact the seller or payment provider.

Remember: HTTPS means the connection is encrypted; it does not prove that a website or its merchandise is legitimate.

Brand-specific guidance

Checking New Balance footwear.

New Balance provides its own instructions for checking certain newer shoes. These steps apply to New Balance products and should not be used as an authentication method for other brands.

Step 01

Find the product label.

Check the shoe’s tongue label. On selected models, the label may be placed elsewhere on the shoe. New Balance began replacing its data-matrix label with a QR code in May 2025.

Step 02

Scan the QR code.

For shoes with the newer label, the code should lead to New Balance’s authentication microsite. A QR code that instead opens an ordinary shopping page does not meet New Balance’s stated check.

Step 03

Compare the details.

Compare the sizing and other information shown on the microsite with the physical shoe. A mismatch is a reason to stop and investigate.

Older pairs are different. New Balance says shoes manufactured before May 2025 will not have this QR code and cannot be checked through that method. Do not judge an older pair by the absence of a QR code alone.

If something seems wrong

Know where
to turn.

Keep your receipt, product photos, seller details, and the website address. The right contact depends on where you purchased the item.

Purchased from DROVIIA?

Email info@droviia.us with your order number, the product name, and clear photos of the shoe, labels, and packaging. We’ll review the concern and advise on the next step.

Reporting a New Balance counterfeit?

New Balance accepts reports at counterfeits@newbalance.com . Its reporting address does not provide individual product authentication responses.

Purchased from another seller?

Contact that seller or marketplace promptly. If you suspect fraud, contact your payment provider about your options and consider reporting the seller through the FTC’s reporting site .

A closer look

Common
questions.

Does a shoe box or branded tag prove a shoe is authentic?

No single visual detail settles authenticity. Packaging, tags, and photos can be copied. Review the seller, purchase records, product details, and any authentication guidance provided by the brand.

Does a secure padlock prove a store is genuine?

No. It indicates an encrypted connection. Check the complete web address and research the seller before entering payment details.

Do all New Balance shoes have a QR code?

No. New Balance began introducing its newer QR labels in May 2025. Shoes manufactured earlier will not have that QR code.

Can DROVIIA authenticate shoes bought elsewhere?

Send concerns about DROVIIA orders to our customer care team. For a purchase from another seller, contact that seller and use the relevant brand’s published guidance.
